A Baby’s Secret
I'm just a little baby who didn't quite make it there;
I went straight to be with Jesus but I'm waiting for you here.
Dont you fret about me, mommy, I'm all right -
and most blest, I'd have loved to stay there with you,
but the Shepherd knows whats best.
Many dwelling here where I live, waited years to enter in;
struggled through a world of sorrow, and their lives were marred with sin.
So sweet mommy, don't you sorrow, wipe those tears and chase the gloom;
I went straight to Jesus' bosom, from my lovely mothers womb.
Thank you for the life you gave me, it was brief, but don't complain;
I have all of heaven's glory, suffered none of earthling's pain.
I'll be waiting for you, Mommy - you and Daddy, and the rest.
I'll be with you then forever, and will give you all a kiss.

Thank you. This is beautiful and is a reminder of each precious LIFE that begins in the womb. As we don't always understand why little ones are allowed to perish so early, we may be comforted by the fact that each child is a gift of God. And that He has a purpose in each life, even if we here never have the privilege of seeing their precious little face or holding their tiny little hands and smelling their sweet baby head, these little ones were created for His glory alone.
ReplyDeleteWe have 5 wee ones in heaven that I can't wait to meet some day. What a blessing this poem was, Naomi. Thank you for posting it! I shared it with some others as well.
