Laissez-faire

Laissez-faire (leu-zay-FARE) adjective
having a "whatever happens, happens" attitude. The translation of this French verb is "to let people do as they wish." The word came about to describe a style of government that supports freedom of choice, but these days people can be called laissez-faire if they don't get involved with other people's business.
From the book L is For Lolly Gag; Quirky Words for a Clever Tongue

Well, I can say that this word no longer exists in our government today, although it was one of the intentions of the foundation of this nation.

Great Quote

Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will spend its whole life thinking it's stupid.

Still My Soul, Be Still

A few years ago Anna and I sang a song that has been a comfort through many of the hard trials of life. And now I want to share it with you as a reminder not only to myself, but to all of us that we MUST depend upon God's strength alone to get us through the rough times and the good times in life. All that goes on in life is simply for one purpose and one purpose alone, and that is to bring God all of the glory.

Still my soul be still, and do not fear though winds of change may rage tomorrow. God is at your side, no longer dread the fires of unexpected sorrow.

God you are my God, and I will trust in you and not be shaken. Lord of peace renew, a steadfast spirit within me to rest in you alone.

Sill my soul be still, do not be moved by lesser lights and fleeting shadows. Hold onto his strength, with shield of faith against temptation's flaming arrows.

God you are my God, and I will trust in you and not be shaken. Lord of peace renew, a steadfast spirit within me to rest in you alone.

Still my soul be still, do not forsake the truth you learned in the beginning. Wait upon the Lord, and hope will rise as stars appear when day is dimming.

God you are my God, and I will trust in you and not be shaken. Lord of peace renew, a steadfast spirit within me to rest in you alone.
~Keith and Kristen Getty

God is often reminding us of His strength and peace that He gives us daily, throughout His Word. We must heed these reminders so that we do not flounder through life, depending on our own week and pitiful strength that will not last.

"Hast thou not known? Hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the Earth fainteth not, neither is weary? There is no searching of His understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; And to them that have no might He increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint."
Isaiah 40:28-31

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him, and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise Him.
The Lord is their strength, and He is the saving strength of His anointed."
Psalms 28:7-8

"The Lord will give strength unto His people; the Lord will bless His people with peace."
Psalms 29:11

"The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me to lie down in green pastures He leadeth me beside the still waters. He restoreth my soul: He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever."
Psalm 23

"He shall feed His flock like a shepherd: He shall gather the lambs with His arm, and carry them in His bosom, and shall gently lead those that are with young."
Isaiah 40:11

"Fear thou not for I am with thee: Be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness."
Isaiah 41:10

"Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war with thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee."
Isaiah 41:12-13

So, as we continue to support Anna as she fights for health and life, and my grandpa as he seeks health and healing, and as all of us live life everyday, may we NEVER forget who created us, and that He will always supply our ever need and more!

I Love You!

I LOVE YOU!!!!
Anna, may you read this post and know how much I love you! Words cannot express how much I love you!!! You have been my best friend as long as I can remember and you have been there for me when I have gone through hard times and now I hope that I can be an encouragement to you as you face this trial in your life.
I pray that the Lord uses this time in your life to touch many lives with the love of God. May He give you the peace and joy that passes all understanding even through the most painful moments. So that those around you know, that there IS a Mighty God who is in control, and that you place your trust in His perfect plan. He knows how this all plays out in the big plan so we can and must trust that He will guide each and every step of the way!

"Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee withersoever thou goest."  ~Joshua 1:9

"The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want."  ~Psalm 23:1
No matter where we are in life God is with us from beginning to end. We need not fear the unknown for it is known to the Almighty!

So GORGEOUS!!!!

Always having fun together!

Best friends forever!
