Crazy Christmas Week

Our beautiful tree.
Our crazy Christmas week was full of so many things that I really don't know where to begin. We spent the first day relaxing while Dad and Mom rushed around finishing the Christmas shopping. Then we hectically tried to wrap as many presents before Christmas Eve as possible so that we wouldn't be up until Christmas morning. That was of course mission impossible as it always is. I think that this year was a record year though with the last head, Mom, being pillowed at 5:30 a.m..
Christmas Eve was a full day of preparations and celebration until the early hours of Christmas morning. Christmas day was a very relaxing day spent opening presents, eating, and most everyone taking a nap while Anna and I went on a walk.
The next day is sort of a blur as Dad and Samuel were gone most of the day. I do have one thing that is very clear and that was that I was bit by a dog for the first time. This was an unpleasant experience but thankfully the dog's owners had kept up on all of his shots and so we had nothing to worry about.
Friday and Saturday were filled with Daniel's Eagle Scout Project as well as last minute shopping for Dad and Samuel's trip.
Sunday we had a wonderful morning in God's house and then drove to the airport where we said our farewells to Dad and Sam. They will, Lord willing, return on January 22. Please keep them in your prayers as they seek to be a blessing to the Tracht family as well as minister to the people of Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Congolese border. I know that they would appreciate it.

Our walk on Christmas Day.

My first dog bite.

Goodbye kisses. :-)
